Bob Hope USO

A strong America is a force for good in the world. A strong military is necessary for a strong America. Bob Hope USO serves our current military members and their families exclusively.

In 2018, Bob Hope USO is projected to serve over 50,000 active service members and their families at our USO Center at Ontario Airport, and throughout the county at local bases and installations including Ft. Irwin, Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow and at 29 Palms Marine Base. On any given day we can expect up to 1,500 service members at our centers, and our goal is to provide a sense of home for our troops where they can relax, connect with loved ones, and enjoy a warm meal. Hundreds of Ontario volunteers ensure that our troops and their families feel the appreciation of grateful Americans, every day of the year.

Today’s USO continuously adapts to the needs of our men and women in uniform and their families, so they can focus on their very important mission. Bob Hope USO strengthens America’s military by keeping them connect to family, home and country throughout their service to the nation. We provide USO Services programming to current members of the military and their families across the San Bernardino County. Bob Hope USO is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization operating under a charter from USO, Inc. providing morale and recreational services to members of the military. Bob Hope USO relies entirely on contributions from patriotic Americans and philanthropic corporations and organizations locally.

$25 will supply delicious holiday treats and hot chocolate for our service members and their families in uniform during troop movement.

$50 will sponsor a movie night complete with Root Beer Floats for troops during training exercises.

$100 will fund peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and more for a hungry plane load of troops - our volunteers can make it for $3 per person.

$250 creates ten care packages to send with local troops deploying into conflict zones around the world. 

$1,000 helps underwrite a pre-deployment picnic, as military families spend precious time with parents/spouses heading into harm’s way.

$5,000 will sponsor a traditional Thanksgiving and Holiday dinner for our Junior Marines prior to deployment. Donations of this level include recognition on our website, social media and signage.
