Big Falls Lodge is OUR community center in Forest Falls.  We need your help to keep the doors open.

We'll be having a little get together at the Lodge on Oct 30 from 6PM to midnight, wear your PJs, have some pizza and join us for some fun :)

VFCCi owns the Gail D. Cox community center "Big Falls Lodge" in Forest Falls. Our goal is to foster community by providing a multi-use space available to all interested.

Our board of directors is made up of your neighbors, all of whom donate their time, sweat and talent to keep the Lodge running.  We’re always looking for help, if you want to contribute your time contact a board member (director@vfcci.org) .  There is ALWAYS something to do! 

Our doors are open for all kinds of events, it’s amazing to watch how different groups transform this special place to fit their needs.

On Oct 30, your $10 donation could be matched or automatically turned into $20 or $425  by participating sponsors.  Lots of small donations show how widespread our support is.  Prizes are also given randomly throughout the day.

Giving Tuesday is a nationwide movement to support the non-profits that enrich our lives, often below the radar, during this season of giving.  Give BIG San Bernardino is sponsored by The Community Foundation and the County Board of Supervisors to benefit our local non-profits.  

If you have visited Forest Falls, have fond memories of our town, or are lucky enough to live here, let’s get the word out.  None of this works without YOU!

Keeping the dream alive!

Gail Cox, a longtime resident, made an estate gift from her heart which allowed us to purchase Big Falls Lodge, vacant for many years and in desperate need of some love.

In 2007, a huge community effort revived BFL from a badly decayed state and had a lot of fun doing it.   The picture to the left shows what we started with - a fallen tree and crushed roof.  It is now a beautiful multi-purpose building that hosts many different events throughout the year.  

VFCCi sponsors music events,  Fallsvale School movie nights, Search and Rescue, Garden Club, and Firefighter fundraisers and memorials.  We are also the fiscal sponsor of Mill Creek Canyon CERT, our local community emergency response team.  All of these groups use the Lodge for free.    We work hard to make it available to everyone, we hope you appreciate having this historic building in the community.  

If you or your group has used Big Falls Lodge for your events, consider giving back to VFCCi.  Your donations are tax deductible, and it feels good to give back to your community.  

This old building will always need care and upkeep, we all know how much work maintaining mountain homes can be.
